Fox 40 Water Safety Throw
OHM is a Hamilton, Ontario based product design firm working with clients in the sporting goods, consumer electronics, housewares, and home appliance fields. Their new Fox 40 Water Safety Throw was designed with consideration of carefully chosen materials, user efficiency, ergonomics, high-performance durability, and low cost manufacturing. Safety throws are vital emergency aids for boaters, fishermen, lifeguards and anyone participating in water sports. The 50 foot buoyant rope is made of lightweight polypropylene plastic and is easily deployed. A knot cleat eliminates the need to perform complicated slipknots while a ball plug prevents the rope from being accidentally released. The crushproof handle prevents the rope from abrading the victim's hands so they can be towed in comfortably and safely.

Tetran
Portable peripherals owners seem to adorn and bejewel their devices like a teacup yorkie. For the most part, these accessories serve some sort of purpose, yet they lack the extra sparkle that keeps them restrained to the superfluous "stuff" category. Japanese device accessories designer and producer Tunewear offers many accessories with one very blatant showstopper. Tetran is creatively successful in serving its intended purpose and it's hecka cute to boot. These colorful little dudes chomp down on your earbuds while you wrap the cord around their limbs. A removable ball-bearing chain allows you to attach your little buddy to a belt loop, cell phone strap or key ring. Tunewear also suggests using Tetran as a stress relief device by squeezing it in your hands or rolling it on the floor to massage your feet. These cuties are distributed internationally and are available in pink, green, yellow and orange.

Bow Table
Toronto based furniture designer Joel Yatscoff offers a birds-eye view in the living room. His Bow Table, which has recently been shown at the 2005 Toronto Interior Design Show, resembles the natural jagged formations of rivers meeting in a prairie landscape, as seen from a plane. The faceted powder-coated steel crevasse dynamically cuts across the otherwise flat surface. Bow's unique shape was translated from actual maps of the Bow River in downtown Calgary.
