SCOTT HENDERSON is known for his ability to transform the mundane, according to Pameladevi Govinda of City Magazine. He believes that if something makes you smile, it becomes easier to use. With over fifteen years of experience, most recently as the Director of Industrial Design for New York based Smart Design, Scott's design work for some of the largest corporations in America has generated numerous awards and media attention.
His work was recently included in the New York Times Magazine's feature on the 20th century's best designs along with Frank Gehry, I.M. Pei and the guys who designed the MTV logo. Feature articles about Scott's work have also recently appeared in the pages of AXIS, CITY and ID Magazines. Scott's work has been included in ID Magazine's Annual Design Review seven times, in Metropolitan Home's special issue, The Design 100, it has received a Gold and Two Silver IDEA awards which are published in Business Week Magazine, an Appliance Manufacturer award, an International Housewares Association Gold Award, three Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Awards and two awards for Excellence in Universal Design from the National Endowment of the Arts.
