SEGA 于9月29日宣布，知名科幻题材角色扮演游戏系列最新作《梦幻之星 新宇宙（ Phantasy Star Universe ）》的 Xbox 360 版将于 12 月 14 日推出，并公布了一系列游戏画面，供玩家参考。
《梦幻之星 新宇宙》是 SEGA 旗下角色扮演游戏代表作《梦幻之星》系列最新作，承袭系列作的星际冒险科幻题材，以及全新的故事背景，融合单机版的剧情演出与网络版的网络联机等要素所构成。
游戏中将提供单人游玩与多人联机等不同的游戏模式，包括体验主角 伊尚 冒险经历的故事模式，自创角色多人联机组队解任务的网络模式，以及以自创角色与故事模式角色组队游玩的附加模式。
《梦幻之星 新宇宙》 PS2 与 PC 版已于 8 月底推出，本次预定推出的 Xbox 360 版除了承袭既有的游戏内容之外，并将加入多项改良，包括网络联机模式支持语音交谈功能，游戏画面高分辨率宽屏幕化，支持 5.1 声道环场音效等，并采用专属联机服务器，可提供全球 Xbox 360 版玩家一同联机游玩。
