“乔凡尼·贝利尼作品展”英国国立画廊举办

　　2006年4月12日至25日，英国国立画廊举办“贝利尼和东方作品展”。乔凡尼·贝利尼(Giovanni Bellini，1430-1516)是威尼斯15世纪最杰出的画家之一。与强调用线造型和注重构图经营的佛罗伦萨画家不同，乔凡尼·贝利尼是位擅长运用色彩的画家。在美术史上享有盛名的威尼斯画派，可以说是由乔凡尼·贝利尼开创的。

　　贝利尼曾受苏丹穆罕默德二世之邀造访伊斯坦布尔，苏丹的华丽宫廷和城堡的神秘之美令他神魂颠倒，这些都出现在他的许多作品中。贝利尼的作品反映了他对当时拜占庭文明及伊斯兰文化的理解。此次展出的油画和素描作品都融合了欧洲文化和伊斯兰文化的风格。

乔凡尼·贝利尼资料：

    威尼斯画派是文艺复兴艺术的一朵奇葩。它的奠基者是两大美术世家--维瓦里尼家族和雅可布·贝利尼家族。贝利尼绘画世家共有父子三人:雅可布·贝利尼(1400～1470),其子贞提尔·贝利尼(1429～1507)与和乔凡尼·贝利尼(1430～1516)。贞提尔与乔凡尼自小都向父亲学画。哥哥成名较早,不久成为威尼斯共和国的公职画家。1479年被派往君士坦丁堡,专门为苏丹王宫画肖像,名声远扬。历史上一幅著名的《圣马可广场上的行列》即是其重要代表作。其弟乔凡尼·贝利尼曾长期受宗教团体所托,专事宗教画,他的艺术成就是同时代人中最显著的。

     乔凡尼·贝利尼接近曼特尼亚,也很崇拜他的艺术(曼特尼亚的妻子是乔凡尼的姐姐)。可是乔凡尼的艺术成就要远胜于他的这位老师。丢勒称他是威尼斯最有修养的画家,在多才多艺上,可以与达·芬奇并驾齐驱。这一幅《忘形状态的圣弗朗西斯》也许能为我们提供这一评价的例证。 这幅画绘于1485年。全幅画构思独特,趣味迥异,可谓情景交融,开创了文艺复兴时代祭坛画趋时入世的新局面。内容仍没有违背教义,只是人物的感情表现得极为强烈。它突出宗教人物的诗情画意,有一定的真实感。圣弗朗西斯在郊野一角甘受苦行生活的清贫。画面景物可信,色彩饱满,无半点虚饰的成。 圣弗朗西斯(旧译圣方济)原是意大利阿西西一个呢绒商的儿子。

    1198年曾参与阿西西起义。1202年,在一次作战中被俘。3年后,不再参加政治斗争,与友人组织新修会,成为天主教方济各会的创始人之一。这种教会团体主张过清贫节欲的苦行生活 。他自己也粗服淡饭,一心苦修。平时,他手托乞食钵,赤足云游四方,劝人弃绝尘世一切欲念。历史上奉他为清贫福音的发起者,为宗教所宣扬的圣者榜样之一。 

    贝利尼着意于表现圣弗朗西斯在荒郊结庐孤居,麻衣素食的生活情景。在一个山洞前以几根树杆编成栅门。简陋的书桌上放着经书与骷髅,他正面对着大自然出神。画家说他处于忘形状态,也无可厚非,因为宗教狂热者的忘形往往是心理上迷惑的变态反映。乔凡尼·贝利尼把这个历史人物作了真实的构思。在这里,构图采用写实主义手法,色彩自然生动。全画约为123×139厘米。现藏美国纽约弗里克美术收藏所。
