1949-
Born in Lithuania.
In the years 1964-1968, worked and studied at the Kaunas School of Applied Arts
and then from 1968 until 1973 at the Vilnius Institute of Fine Arts.
HAs lived in Poland since 1980.
Works in graphic art and design, painting, ex libris, drawing, book illustration, poster,
installations, and performance. Has made illustration for children's books published in Lithuania, Poland,
Switzerland, USA, Japan, and the Scandinavian countries.
Major awards:
1986 Grand Prix, International Children's Book Contest, Barcelona, Spain
1988 Silver Medal, Art Directors Club, New York, USA
1989 Grand Prix, 8th Poster Biennale in Lahti, Finlad
1990 Gold Plaque, International Biennale of Books Illustratio, Beograd, Yugoslavia
1990 Second Prize, 1st International Biennale of Poster, Mexico City, Mexico
1994 Gold Medal, 4th International Poster Triennial, Toyama, Japan
