Born in Katowice.
Studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts Department of Graphic Arts
in Katowice under professor Jozef Mroszczak.
In 1952, graduated from the university and moved to Warsaw.
In the years 1965-1996,
taught at the National University of Visual Arts in Poznan
/now the Poznan Academy of Fine Arts/.
Starting in 1994, lectures also at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts.
From 1979 until 1997, served as President of the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw.
Works in poster, illustration, scenography, and exhibition design.
