Youknow you are progressing if you are a little better today that whoyou were yesterday. Instead of comparing yourself with others andfalling prey to envy, jealousy and despair, try to become a littlebetter everyday.
如果今天比昨天的自己好了那么一点,你就会知道自己正在进步。不要把自己和他人比较,成为羡慕、嫉妒和绝望的牺牲品。试着每天进步一点点。

It is built by daily investments you put in asyou go on with your day’s activities. Do your work withintegrity. Treat everyone with equality. Keep your words soft, sweetand comforting. Do not do anything, even if it seems petty, that canerode yourcharacter.你的性格决定了你是谁。以真实、谦逊、温和和诚实为原则建立你的性格,这不是一天能打造出来的。这是在你每天的日常活动中由每天的投入打造而成。做一个正直的人,公平对待每个人,让你的话语温和、甜美、舒服。任何可能腐蚀你性格的事情,哪怕再小,也不要去做。

Learnsomething new every day. Your mind and your health are the mostprecious resources that have been bestowed upon you. It is importantto keep your mind sharp and supple. Read a book. Learn a newlanguage. Build your vocabulary. Learn something new that you findinteresting or useful to you. You cease to grow once you stoplearning. Learning is never a waste of time. It will sure fetch hugedividends.每天学点新东西。你的头脑和健康是已经属于你的最宝贵的资源。让你的头脑保持敏锐灵活很重要。读一本书,学习一门新的语言,提升你的词汇量。学习一些你觉得有趣或者有用的新东西。一旦你停止学习,你就停止了成长。学习永远不会浪费时间。它会给你带来巨大的利润。
5.Have I made healthier choices?
我是否做出了更健康的选择?
Yourhealth is your responsibility. Jog, run, or hit the gym; anythingyour schedule will allow you to. Sparing as little as 15 minutes aday is better than being dead 24 hours a day! Avoiding unhealthy foodhabits is a healthier choice as well. Reduce the consumption of junkfood.你有责任让自己保持健康。慢跑、跑步,或者去健身房,在你的日程表允许的情况下尽可能多锻炼。一天只花15分钟锻炼也比一天24小时不动要好!避免不健康的饮食习惯也是一种更健康的选择。减少垃圾食物的摄入量。
6.Have I protected my planet?
我是否保护了地球环境?
Itis your duty to preserve the planet you live on. Do not leave thewater running while you brush or shave. Turn off the lights andelectrical appliances when not in use. Leave the earth a better placefor yourchildren.你有责任维护你所居住的地球环境。刷牙或刮胡子的时候不要让水一直流着。当你不用时关掉电灯和其他电器设备。为你的下一代留下一个更好的地球环境。
7.Have I expressed my love for my family andfriends?
我是否对我的家人和朋友表达了我的爱?
Notethe word “express”. It is not enough to think lovingly ormerely talk. Express your love and affection both in words as well asin action. Do a little work of love every day. A small investmenteveryday will reap bigdividends.注意“表达”这个词。只是怀着爱去想念或者单纯的谈话是不够的。在语言和行动上来表达你的喜爱和感情。每天做一点关于爱的小事。每天一点小的投入会让你有巨大的收获。
8.Have I spent quality time with my spouse?
我是否和自己的伴侣度过了品质时光?
Spendquality time with your spouse. You don’t have to go out on adate every day. Take time to share your day, your experiences andyour feelings with your spouse. And listen to your spouse aswell.和你的伴侣一起享受品质时光。你们没有必要每天出去约会。花一些时间和他/她分享你一天的经历和感受,也听听他/她的。
9.Do I bear any grudges against anyone?
我是否对某些人心存怨恨?
Beforeyou go to sleep, rewind your day and check if you’d had a badexperience with anyone that day. No matter whose fault it was, try toresolve it before midnight. Call and say sorry. Speak it out andresolve the matter. Brooding grudges and malice isn’t healthyfor your heart. The anger destroys you slowly. Forgive and let go,makepeace.入睡前回想这一天,看看你是否和某人有不愉快的经历。不管是谁的错,试着在午夜来临前化解怨恨。打电话去道歉。说出来,解决这个问题。带着怨恨和恶意对你的心脏健康不利。愤怒会慢慢将你摧毁。学会原谅和放下,讲和吧。
10.Am I content with my life?
我对我的生活感到满意吗?
Becontent with what you have. Make happiness your ambition. Mind you,that doesn’t mean you have to be complacent. You need to havegoals and strive for the best. But be content with what you have beenblessed with. Count your many blessings and life live cheerfully.
对你所拥有的感到满足。让你的抱负感到幸福。记住,这并不意味着你要自满。你需要有目标,并朝着最好的去奋斗。但要对你已经拥有的感到知足。看看你所拥有的这么多,然后幸福地生活。
