普林斯顿大学

Princeton will pause its standardized testing requirement as part of its holistic review process for the 2020-21 application cycle. Students who sit for a standardized test and wish to submit their score will still have the option to do so. However, because of the change to policy this year, applications without test scores will be considered complete.Students who do not submit test scores will not be at a disadvantage.As with previous years, the University does not require subject tests.

If you have already taken the ACT or SAT, and you feel that your scores are a positive reflection of your academic preparedness, then you are welcome to self-report them. Your application will not be at a disadvantage if you choose not to report your scores.

Due to the current situation surrounding COVID-19, we understand that many students will be unable to submit standardized testing for the 2020/2021 application cycle.Don’t worry—this is not an issue with our application process! Our application process is test-optional for all applicants(Domestic, International and Transfer Applicants). You are a hardworking student and these current challenges should not impact your future goals! We look forward to reviewing your application (with or without testing) in the fall and winter!

Although we are test-optional, we are still happy to accept and consider SAT or ACT scores from students who have previously taken these exams and would like to share their scores as part of their application.

We will not require either the SAT or the ACTfrom first-year or transfer applicants applying this cycle. We expect this to be a one-year suspension of our usual requirements, but will continue to monitor the public health situation closely.

Students who have already taken the SAT/ACTare encouraged to report their scores with the understanding that they help us more accurately evaluate their preparedness for MIT, and with the knowledge that tests are only one factor among many in that process.

Students who have not already taken the SAT/ACTare discouraged from doing so if they cannot do so safely,and/or are under such strain that they cannot perform to a degree commensurate with their actual preparation.

Students who do not submit SAT/ACTscores will not have any negative inferences be drawn from their absence.Instead, we will make the best, most informed decision we can by assessing other academic aspects of their application like grades, curriculum, and other examinations.

We will continue to consider SAT and ACT scores as part of the application of students who choose to submit them and will accept self-reported scores for purposes of assessing an application.

As we stated above, no applicant will be disadvantaged in any way for not submitting an SAT or ACT score.

Test-blind means different things to different campuses. But, yes Berkeley’s process is a form of test-blind admissions. What it means to us is that we’re not using SAT/ACT test scores for any part of our process, including evaluation/holistic review, selection, or scholarship processes.

UC Berkeley will not use SAT/ACT test scores regardless of whether or not they are submitted.

While the admissions process at Boston University has always been holistic and decisions have never been solely based on one single factor, such as an SAT or ACT score, the move to test optional for fall 2021/spring 2022 will allow us to add further weight to the important qualities and characteristics that focus more on you, and your academic and personal accomplishments.

ACT/SAT scores are optional for all freshman applicants, including international students, home-schooled students, and recruited student-athletes. Recruited student-athletes are still required to satisfy all initial eligibility requirements set forth by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

We encourage you to report your scores if you feel they accurately represent your ability. Please carefully consider your decision, as you will not be able to change it later.
