教学工作坊

上海纽约大学教育硕士项目（TESOL）邀请您参加将于11月24日举办的英语教学工作坊。工作坊将由TESOL硕士项目主任Kentei Takaya教授主持，活动内容包括交际型语法教学研讨、校园导览以及TESOL硕士项目的介绍。该项目2019年夏季入学的申请现已开放。

在工作坊上，Takaya教授将与大家探讨语法教学的多种方法，包括“focus on form”“focus on formS”“focus on meaning”，同时将分析交际型语法教学的实践思路。交际型语法教学是语法教学方法的一种，使得语言学习者在发展自身语法能力的同时，能够结合实际语境使用语法。通过本次工作坊，参与者将通过交际型的方式开发出丰富的教学技能储备。

工作坊之后，Takaya教授将简要介绍TESOL硕士项目并接受相关的咨询。TESOL项目由上海纽约大学与纽约大学斯坦哈特学院合作开设，于2017年正式启动招生，首届学生于2018年夏季入读，目前正在进行第二届学生的招募。Takaya教授将为大家解读项目的特色，包括其创新的融合线上线下教学的模式，以及申请的要求和流程。

届时，TESOL校友和在读学生也将与您分享他们的经验。由于座位有限，需要预先登记报名。

Workshop for Teachers

The MA TESOL program at NYU Shanghai invites you to an exclusive workshop focusing on English teaching pedagogy led by MA TESOL Program Director and Professor Kentei Takaya on Saturday, November 24.The workshop will focus on communicative grammar instruction, and also feature a campus tour and presentation about the MA TESOL program, which is accepting applications now for the Summer 2019 cohort.

In the workshop, Professor Takaya will discuss various approaches to grammar teaching including ‘focus on form,’ ‘focus on formS,’ and ‘focus on meaning,’ and introduce practical ideas of communicative grammar instruction. Communicative grammar instruction is a technique in grammar teaching that enables language learners to develop both their grammatical competence and their ability to use grammar in meaningful contexts.Through this workshop, you will learn various techniques in teaching grammar and develop a wide range of repertoire in teaching grammar communicatively.

Following the workshop, Professor Takaya will introduce the MA TESOL program. Established in 2017 and jointly offered with the NYU Steinhardt School, the MA TESOL program enrolled its first class in Summer 2018. The program is now recruiting for its second cohort. Professor Takaya will discuss the program’s unique features, including its innovative hybrid-online format,as well as application requirements and procedures.

Also joining the event will be a member of the current inaugural TESOL cohort who will share her experiences in the program.

上海纽约大学与纽约大学斯坦哈特文化教育和人类发展学院合作开设的英语教育硕士项目（TESOL），提供了和斯坦哈特学院常规英语教育硕士项目不同的培养模式。项目的学生将以非全日制方式在上海纽约大学校园及线上平台进行学习，并于第二学年前往纽约进行沉浸式暑期学习课程。项目为时两年，考虑到中国在职英语教师和专业人士的需求，该项目在秋季和春季学期主要于周末授课，暑期沉浸式课程期间则于灵活时间授课。

项目面向教学对象为幼儿园到高中阶段的儿童和青少年的英语教师开设，将提高他们的英语教学技能与课堂内外的组织、管理能力。项目为全英文授课，立足于美国前沿的教学方法，并根据在中国进行英语教学的需求量身打造。师资力量强大，由纽约大学斯坦哈特学院及上海纽约大学教授授课，他们均于美国获得教学资质，精于第二外语学习的教研工作，拥有面向中国学生的多年教学经验。毕业后，学生将获得纽约大学硕士学位（已获中国教育部认可）。
