——如何利用新闻和故事进行语法、写作教学

上海纽约大学英语教育硕士项目（TESOL）邀请您参加将于12月22日（星期六）举办的英语教学工作坊。本次工作坊的主题关于如何利用新闻和故事来教授英语语法和写作，由纽约大学TESOL硕士项目2014届校友Ingrid Zhang主持。Ingrid现就职于上海外国语大学附属外国语学校东校，担任班主任和英语教师，同时也出任学校模拟联合国社团指导老师。

在工作坊上，Ingrid将向大家介绍怎样将学生熟悉的生活中的题材，例如新闻与故事，应用到教学中去。通过本次交流，参与者可以学到针对语法和写作的多种教学方法，并了解如何结合不同技巧来教授各英语语言水平的学生。

工作坊之后将进行关于TESOL硕士项目的宣讲环节。该环节会介绍TESOL项目的特色，包括其线上线下融合教学的模式以及暑期在纽约的沉浸式学习。2019年TESOL项目的招生工作目前已经开始，宣讲环节中也将介绍该项目的申请要求和流程。

届时，上海纽约大学TESOL项目首届在读学生也会与您分享他们的经验。由于座位有限，需要预先登记报名。

Exclusive Professional Development Workshop for Teachers

- Applying News and Stories to Teach Grammar and Writing

The MA TESOL program invites you to an exclusive workshop on Applying News and Stories to Teach Grammar and Writing at NYU Shanghai on Saturday, December 22. The workshop will be conducted by Ingrid Zhang, who graduated from NYU’s MA TESOL program in 2014. Ingrid is currently working as an English Headteacher at Shanghai East Foreign Language School and she is also in charge of teaching Model United Nations program.

In the workshop,teaching methods using real-life contents such as news and stories will be introduced. You will also learn various techniques in teaching grammar and writing as well as ways to integrate different skills to teach students with various levels of English proficiency.

Following the workshop, there will be a program introduction of MA TESOL offered at NYU Shanghai. The MA TESOL program’s unique features, including its hybrid-online coursesas well as summer immersion in New York City will be introduced. Application for 2019 is now open, and the application requirements and procedures will also be explained in detail during the session.

英语教育硕士项目（TESOL）

上海纽约大学与纽约大学斯坦哈特文化教育和人类发展学院合作开设的英语教育硕士项目（TESOL），提供了和斯坦哈特学院常规英语教育硕士项目不同的培养模式。项目的学生将以非全日制方式在上海纽约大学校园及线上平台进行学习，并于第二学年前往纽约进行沉浸式暑期学习课程。项目为时两年，考虑到中国在职英语教师和专业人士的需求，该项目在秋季和春季学期主要于周末授课，暑期沉浸式课程期间则于灵活时间授课。

项目面向教学对象为幼儿园到高中阶段的儿童和青少年的英语教师，将提高他们的英语教学技能与课堂内外的组织、管理能力。项目为全英文授课，立足于美国前沿的教学方法，并根据在中国进行英语教学的需求量身打造。师资力量强大，由纽约大学斯坦哈特学院及上海纽约大学教授授课，他们均于美国获得教学资质，精于第二外语学习的教研工作，拥有面向中国学生的多年教学经验。毕业后，学生将获得纽约大学硕士学位（已获中国教育部认可）。
