10月12日，温州肯恩大学建筑与设计学院迎来了秋季创意工作日（Workshop Day)。四位设计师受邀来到校园，与师生们分享了他们的设计理念和想法。

On October 12, Michael Graves College of Architecture and Design held the Workshop Day. Four design professionals were invited to share their design concepts and ideas with students and faculty.

王樾 (Yue Wang)

王樾毕业于温州肯恩大学平面设计系，在温肯四年的学习中，他积累了许多的实习经验。设计作品曾入围过2018年白金创意国际大学生平面设计大赛。毕业后，王樾选择赴美留学，在美国萨凡纳艺术与设计学院学习动态媒体设计。在这期间，王樾设计作品入围过2020年COMOTION三维动画设计大赛。王樾现任腾讯游戏特效美术设计师。

王樾围绕着互联网设计，向同学们讲述了何为互联网企业，成为一个互联网视觉设计师应该具备什么条件，以及他的互联网设计之路。他向同学们展示的第一个设计项目关于温州肯恩大学2020届毕业典礼，他向同学们讲述了他的调研过程，提出概念，字体设计等在设计过程中的想法。之后，他通过现在所从事的游戏设计，向同学们讲述如何通过游戏界面的一种动画交互来奠定整个游戏的基调。同时结合自己的经历，给同学们提出了许多关于作品集制作和职业选择的建议，并指出当确定自己的就业方向后，就要提前去了解这一行业。最后，他强调了在设计中结合中国传统文化是目前的一种趋势，也呼吁同学们在设计中可以融入中国传统文化进行创新设计。

WANG Yue shared his opinions around Internet companies, the requested qualifications to become an Internet visual designer, and his experiences as an Internet graphic designer. The first design project he shared was the 2020 graduation ceremony of WKU. He explained the research process, proposed concepts, font design, and other ideas in the design process. Given examples of his current game design, he showed how to set the tone of the whole game through the animation interaction in the game interface. He also combined his own experience to give the students a lot of advice about producing their future portfolios and how to choose suitable careers for themselves. He pointed out that when you decide your career direction, you should understand the industry in advance. Finally, he emphasized that combining Chinese traditional culture in design is a trend, and it's a good strategy to integrate cultural elements for innovative design.

Juan Yruela Castillo 称自己是一位充满热情的建筑师，并总是愿意接受新的挑战。他一直在寻找一种新的设计方式，远离商业和大众建筑，更接近于质量、能源意识和项目所针对的普通公民。2013年，他离开西班牙，来到中国苏州西交利物浦大学，并将对建筑的热情与教学相结合。他是COOP建筑事务所的创始人和合伙人，也在上海交通大学密歇根学院担任兼职讲师。

通过艺术与设计在历史中的关联和变迁、不同时代建筑风格的展示，Juan Yruela Castillo 向同学们讲述了设计领域中的审美，并解释了审美所起到的关键作用。他提到，新时代为旧工业世界和这个充满变化和机会的新世界提供了对话的机会。Castillo 认为艺术品是从回收过程中创造出来的，这也要求设计师要用自己的设计方式进行循环利用。他讲述到美和美学主要基于经典，另一个组成部分则来自于观察者的感受，心境等等来丰富它。他强调了设计师的作用，设计师能让产品在美观的同时具有实用性。他还向同学展示了一些产品和空间设计，通过设计能让空间和产品显得格外的美丽并且刺激人们的感官。

Beginning with a presentation on the evolution of art and design through history, the architectural styles from different eras, Juan Yruela Castillo shared his thoughts on aesthetics and design and explained that aesthetics plays a key role. He mentioned that the new times are offering an opportunity of dialogue between the old industrial world and a brand new time of changes and chances. Castillo claimed the artwork was borns from the recycling process that also requires designers to recycle in their design ways. He talked about how beauty and aesthetics are primarily based on the classics, and consist of the feelings and mood of the observer, etc., to enrich it. Castillo emphasized the designer's role, creating beautiful and functional products and making spaces attractive and stimulating audiences' senses.

朱小杰现任温州家具学院院长、中央美院客座教授、澳珀家俱与瓯窑儿女的艺术总监、米兰设计周『坐下来』系列策展人、中国（上海）国际家具博览会设计展主策展人、意大利著名品牌CASANOVA设计师、丹麦 KOPENHAGEN FUR 设计师 、荷兰 WORK 设计师。

徐克是温州电视台工作者，身为媒体人，曾多次和朱小杰老师合作进行访谈项目。

朱小杰老师和媒体人徐克带来一个特殊的讲座形式。两人以类似于访谈的形式来呈现这次的讲座。朱小杰老师特别强调设计“非原创”，他指出设计是模仿后的组合，把先人与别人的智慧理解后，重新用自己的语言进行组合。在本次讲座中，朱小杰老师带来了自己的作品，并且通过视频的方式介绍了他设计的作品。从他的设计作品中可以看出，他从中国的传统文化中汲取灵感，再用他自己的视觉语言进行组织再设计。他引用英国首相丘吉尔的名言“往后能看多远，往前就能看多远”，告诉同学们了解中国的传统文化，并从中汲取智慧是很重要的。他指出只有大自然中的万物才是原创，而设计是有想法的模仿，人对任何事物都不能有偏见，任何事物都有它可爱的一面，这也是设计的关键。朱小杰老师是温州人，他在一些作品设计中融入了温州故事，他还告诉学生们一定要在设计中融入故事。在最后，他分享了自己对设计的定义，设计需要具有功能，品质和不同。

Mr. Zhu Xiaojie and moderator Xu Ke provide an interview-like lecture. Mr. Zhu pointed out that design is non-original and a combination of imitation and re-combination of the wisdom of our ancestors and others with our language. In this lecture, Mr. Zhu Xiaojie brought two pieces of his chairs and many introduction videos. His design works draw inspiration from the history of Chinese traditional culture and then organize and produce them in his visual language. He quoted the words of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, "As far as you can look backward, you can look forwards," telling the students that it is essential to understand and learn from the Chinese traditional culture. He mentioned only natural creatures are original, while the design is an imitation of ideas. So, we should not be prejudiced, and everything has its lovely side, which is the key to good design. Since Mr. Zhu Xiaojie is a Wenzhou-born designer, he has successfully incorporated Wenzhou stories in some of his work. In the end, he commented on what is a good design，which needs to be functional, quality, and different.
