温州肯恩大学办学10周年校庆公告（第四号）

十载携手，共谱华章。在社会各界、广大校友的关心支持下，在全校师生员工的共同努力下，温州肯恩大学办学10周年系列庆祝活动取得了圆满成功。

本次校庆活动采取线上线下相结合的形式，先后举办了国际化高水平大学建设推进会、2021年生物科技发展及应用学术论坛、教育国际化暨高校治理论坛、办学10周年庆祝大会、“廊桥出海”捐赠仪式、校园社团文化节、校园开放日、校友分享会等各类学术论坛、文体活动、校友返校等丰富多彩的系列活动。通过校庆各项活动的举办，全面回顾了学校的办学历程，充分展示了学校的办学成就，提振了广大师生校友建设“国际化、高水平”大学的决心，为学校的进一步发展凝聚了智慧与力量。

浙江省委常委、温州市委书记刘小涛，原浙江省副省长、学校签约见证人王建满，温州市委副书记、市长姚高员等省市领导专程来校出席办学10周年庆祝大会。省委常委、市委书记刘小涛同志在致辞中充分肯定了学校10年来的办学成就和办学特色，并对学校的未来发展提出殷切希望。教育部国际司一级巡视员陶洪建发来视频致辞。美国肯恩大学校长拉蒙·瑞博列特和温州大学校长赵敏作为学校举办方领导分别发表了热情洋溢的讲话。温州肯恩大学首任校长陆善镇教授也专门题词，提出了“全力办好温州肯恩大学，促进中美文化教育交流”的美好愿景。充分体现了各级党委政府和社会各界对温州肯恩大学的深切关怀和大力支持。

校庆期间，兄弟院校、合作单位、新闻媒体、广大校友积极参与校庆活动，贺信贺电、慷慨捐赠、宣传推介、积极奔走，为10周年校庆工作提供了无私的帮助。由于疫情防控需要，不能邀请更多的嘉宾和校友亲临学校参加庆典，在此，我们深表歉意！谨向关心支持学校发展的各位领导、各界人士、广大校友表示由衷的感谢！希望您继续支持学校的建设与发展，共同见证温州肯恩大学更美好的未来！

Announcement on Wenzhou-Kean University’s

10th Year in Operation Anniversary

(No. 4)

Ten years of joint efforts have written a glorious chapter down in WKU history. With the collective endeavors and contributions from all walks of society, alumni, faculty, students, and staff, Wenzhou-Kean University’s 10th Year in Operation Anniversary has come to a successful end.

The celebrations were conducted both online and offline, including the Promotion Conference of Building WKU into an Internationalized High-Standard University, 2021 Biotechnology Development and Application Forum, Higher Education Internationalization and Governance Forum, 10th Anniversary Celebration, “Lang Qiao Chu Hai” Donation Ceremony, Student Club Cruise, Open House, Alumni Sharing, etc. We looked back on history, took pride in the achievements, boosted our determination to build an internationalized high-standard university, and contributed to the University’s development.

Mr. LIU Xiaotao, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. WANG Jianman, former Vice-Governor of Zhejiang Province and witness of WKU’s signing ceremony, and Mr. YAO Gaoyuan, Deputy-Secretary of CPC Wenzhou Municipal Government and Mayor of Wenzhou, attended the 10th Anniversary Celebration in person on campus. Mr. LIU Xiaotao spoke highly of WKU’s achievements and features over the last decade and extended cordial expectations on the University’s future. Mr. TAO Hongjian, Senior Inspector of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education, addressed via video. Dr. Lamont Repollet, President of Kean Universityand Dr. ZHAO Min, President of Wenzhou University, also spoke at the celebration. Mr. LU Shanzhen, the first Chancellor of Wenzhou-Kean University, donated his calligraphy piece to WKU, and he wrote, “spare no effort to construct WKU and promote China-U.S. cultural and education exchanges.” Wenzhou-Kean can feel the sincere care and generous support from CPC committees and governments at all levels and all walks of society.

During the celebration, our counterparts, partners, media, and alumni played an active role, and they have voluntarily contributed to the celebration by congratulatory letters, donations, promotions, publicity, and coordination. We would like to apologize for the number of guests invited to attend our events due to the pandemic prevention & control policies. Here we would like to thank you for your ceaseless care and support in WKU, and we look forward to witnessing the promising future of WKU along with you.

Throughout the preparation and the celebration, the WKU community, including our faculty, students, and staff, have shown deep commitment and strong sentiment. Thank you!

With ten years of splendor packed, we start a new journey. Riding on the driving force of leader’s care, communities’ support, and alumni’s commitment, we step up the construction of an internationalized high-standard university, striving to be an exemplary institution of Sino-foreign education cooperation, a bridge that connects people-to-people exchanges, a cradle for global talents, and a demonstration of local community services. Together we write a new chapter of the era and the society!
