致西北民族大学外籍教师及国际学生的一封信

A Letter to All Foreign Teachers and International Students in Northwest Minzu University

亲爱的外籍教师及国际学生们：

Dear foreign teachers and international students,

值此2020年新春佳节之际，西北民族大学祝福大家在新的一年里身体健康、阖家幸福、和气致祥、事业进步。

On the occasion of Chinese New Year of 2020, Northwest Minzu University (hereinafter NWMU) wish you all good health, happiness for the whole family, peace and blessings, as well as progress in your work.

针对近期新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情，中国政府正在全国范围内积极采取措施控制疫情扩散蔓延，甘肃省已启动重大突发公共卫生事件一级响应。学校对此高度重视，制定周密方案，确保科学防控，实行“日报告、零报告”制度，全力维护全体师生的健康和安全。在此，西北民族大学国际合作交流处（以下简称国际处）谨向学校外籍教师及国际学生做以下温馨提示：

To cope with the pneumonia outbreakcaused by the novel coronavirus, Chinese government is taking all-out efforts in the prevention and controlof the contagion. Gansu Province has launched Level ⅠPublic Health Emergency Response. NWMU attaches paramount importance to the situation and has made well-conceived plans to ensure scientific prevention and control measures in place at all levels and has been implementing the system of “Daily report and zero report”. The health and safety of all students and teachers including all foreign teachers and international students in NWMU will be fully protected. Hereby, the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, NWMU (hereinafter International Division) would like to recommend the warm tips to all foreign teachers and international students:

请登录国家卫生健康委员会官网http://www.nhc.gov.cn 或甘肃省卫生健康委员会官网http://wsjk.gansu.gov.cn，或西北民族大学官网http://www.xbmu.edu.cn，获取新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情官方权威信息通报。请及时关注并自觉遵守学校发布的相关规定、通知和通告要求。

国际处将密切关注疫情的发展情况以及学校和上级部门的相关通知，国际处工作人员将随时与外籍教师及国际学生保持联系、通报信息，请正确理解并密切关注我们发布的各微信工作群、邮件通知。

请正确对待新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情，认识到疫病可防可控。不造谣、不信谣、不传谣，不在网络上发布未经证实的相关信息，客观对待、科学防控。

Ⅰ. Follow official information for the latest updates

Please visit the official websites as following to obtain the latest updates of the disease, and relevant important notices. Please learn and follow the related notices, information and regulations issued by NWMU.

The International Division will closely follow the situation and notification from upper level departments and will keep in touch with foreign teachers and international students to timely publicize related information. Please always pay attention to our information sent via WeChat working accounts and emails.

Please have objective understanding of the coronavirus and believe it can be controlled and prevented. Please do not believe in or transfer unconfirmed information or rumor.

加强自我防护

保持良好的个人卫生习惯，咳嗽、打喷嚏时使用纸巾或手帕捂住口鼻，注意勤洗手。外出时佩戴医用防护口罩，废弃口罩规范投放。注意居所卫生，适当开窗通风。避免接触任何野生动物或禽类动物。如有身体不适或出现发热、乏力、干咳、呼吸困难等症状，请立即联系国际处以便及时采取相关措施，身边人员如有以上症状请积极配合做好通报排查和隔离工作。

Ⅱ. Strengthen prevention and self-protection

Keep good hygiene. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or handkerchief when coughing or sneezing. Frequently clean hands by using soap or alcohol-based sanitizer and water. Wear surgical face masks when going out and discard used ones properly according to instructions. Keep rooms clean and open windows for good ventilation. Avoid close contact with any wild animals or birds. In case of not feeling well or have symptoms such as fever, fatigue, cough and trouble breathing, please contact International Division immediately in order to take relative measures. If people around you have the above symptoms, please help report and take proper isolation methods.

减少外出活动

建议避免前往人员密集场所，暂停聚会聚餐等群体性活动。在校外籍教师及国际学生请勿擅自离兰。如需离兰，须提前联系国际处办理请假手续。

Ⅲ. Avoid activities outside

Kindly suggest: Please avoid crowded areas, gatherings, parties, and other group activities. Those who live in campus please do not leave Lanzhou City; if needed, please contact International Division first to ask for leave.

开学时间另行通知

学校已正式发布推迟开学时间通告，全体师生在未接到学校正式通知前，不得提前返校。具体开学时间视疫情防控情况和学校整体安排，另行通知。

Ⅳ. School starting date to be notified

NWMU has issued an official note to postpone the beginning time of the upcoming semester. All teachers and students are not allowed to return to school in advancewithout official notice. The date of new semester will be notified later according to the control situation of novel coronavirus and university arrangement.

加强校园出入管理

为做好疫情防控，切实保障广大师生的健康和安全，学校目前谢绝一切校外人员及车辆进入两校区域、校内人员出入须出示有效证件。请各位外籍老师及国际学生积极配合，且不要邀请或接受外来人员来访。确有需要接受外来人员来访的，请提前告知国际处。

Ⅴ. Registration of access to campus

To guarantee the health and safety of all members, irrelevant personnel and vehicles are prohibited to enter campus. All foreign teachers, international students and yourfamilies need to enter campus with valid documents. Please cooperate and do not invite or accept outsiders to enter campus. If you do need to accept outsiders, please inform International Division first.
