Graduate Teaching Fellowship Awards

Duke Kunshan University

2019 Fall Semester

Duke Kunshan University is offering up to six Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTF) for the 2019 Fall semester. Duke Kunshan is a new, joint venture university located in Kunshan, China, about 30 km from Shanghai. Duke Kunshan is a global university with faculty members and students from all parts of the world.

The GTF will support the emerging, interdisciplinary science and mathematics curricula of Duke Kunshan’s Undergraduate Degree Program. Successful applicants will support instruction in physics, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, and statistics. Instructional support includes assisting in teaching laboratory and recitation sections and working with students on course content. Course delivery is in English, including class periods, laboratories, and recitations.

The Fellowship is appropriate for graduate students in existing graduate programs who have completed their coursework and candidacy examinations and are now involved in research and writing. Graduate students applying to, or admitted to, existing Duke Kunshan graduate programs are also eligible.

Initial appointments will be for the Fall semester, 2019. Appointments may be extended upon review of the fellow’s performance and mutual agreement from the student, student’s dissertation advisor, his/her home institution, and the hosting institution (Duke Kunshan). The fellowship will include a tuition remission (PhD candidates) and stipend.
