由西交利物浦大学、苏州大学、苏州科技大学共同主办的“中国新型城镇化背景下的规划与设计教育国际研讨会”现面向全国各高校、科研院所、专业机构等进行摘要征集。

中国新型城镇化对规划及建筑教育提出了新的需求。在这一大背景下，本次大会将包括4个分议题：

• 中外规划与设计教学回顾

• 中国新型城镇化特点以及其对规划及设计教育的影响

• 课程改革及规划与设计教育的国际化

• 新技术运用及创新教学方法

Call for abstracts:

International Conference on Planning and Design Educationin the Context of China’s New-Type Urbanisation

Conference theme

Urbanisation in China in the last three decades was characterised by a large amount of rural-urban migration, a rapid rise in the urban population, an excessive expansion of urban areas, and fast transformation in both urban and rural areas in regards to the natural and built environment, society, lifestyle, social welfare, governance, etc.

The ongoing New-Type Urbanisation has emphasised several important principles such as: human focus, citizenisation of rural populations, harmonisation of rural and urban sectors, optimisation of use of resources, ecological protection and environmental preservation.

China’s New-Type Urbanisation plan urgently demands a new approach to planning and design education.

The conference includes the following four subthemes:

• Review of planning and design education in China and western countries;

• Characteristics of China’s New-Type Urbanisation and its impacts on planning and design education;

• Curriculum restructuring and internationalisation of planning and design education

• New technological applications and innovative teaching methods
