专业概述

互联网革命创造的社会交互环境为企业提供了新的商机。许多国际软件开发企业，如IBM、惠普、微软、谷歌等，都拥有自己的社会计算或媒介发展团队。其他IT企业，如苹果、甲骨文、思科和诺基亚，也都开发了具有社会计算功能的产品。同时大量的国内外公司已成功地通过社交网站获得巨大利润，如Facebook、领英、推特、谷歌、亚马逊、新浪微博、天猫、淘宝等。

知识与技能

本硕士专业培养学生理解、管理、开发及实现网络社交媒体并将其商业化的技能，以满足市场需求。同时培养学生社会信息学与网络计算跨学科新领域中高级技术或管理人才的素质。学生将从本专业：

• 获得社会化商业和社会计算关键领域的理论与实践知识

• 学习关键工具的使用，完成社会化商业与计算领域中基于IT技术的管理、设计及实施解决方案

• 获得社会化贸易和社会计算中的研究、分析、实现及评估技术和完成研究文档的技能

核心课程

云计算、项目管理、研究方法、社会媒体营销、社会网络分析、社会网络编程、硕士论文

• 为完成硕士学位课程，学生每学期需完成200小时的附加学习活动。

学业要求

• 英国：二级甲等荣誉学位或以上

• 中国：本1类大学：75%或以上；本2类大学：80%或以上

• 北美：GPA成绩3.0（总分4）或者本科最后2年的GPA成绩为3.2

• 其他地区：同等学力

专业背景

本科为计算机科学、工程、信息系统、电子商务或数学专业，具备编程和程序设计经验。

英语要求

非英语母语学生及本科非英语教学的学生需提供英语能力证明。本专业要求语言能力达到：

• 雅思：6.0及以上（且各项成绩均不低于5.0）

• 托福iBT：80（且各项成绩均不低于21）

备注：

• 在特殊情况下，我们将根据申请者具体情况个别考虑。申请者可能需要通过面试或测试以证明自身英语能力。

• 低于雅思成绩要求0.5-1.0分以内（或在其他语言测试中有类似情况）的申请者，可在顺利完成我校4或6周英语预科学习后录取入校。

• 申请者也可申请参加西交利物浦英语测试，以替代相应的雅思/托福测试。根据考试得分，申请者可获直接录取，或在顺利完成我校4或6周英语预科学习后录取入校。

• 此外，作为西交利物浦大学附加学习活动要求的一部分，学生可能需完成英语课程，成绩分为“通过”或“不通过”。

Why study MSc Social Computingat XJTLU?

The internet revolution has generated a social interactive environment that creates new business opportunities for enterprises. Many international software-development enterprises such as IBM, HP, Microsoft, Google and SAS have their own social computing/media development teams. Other IT enterprises, such as Apple, Oracle, CISCO and Nokia own products with social computing functions. Similarly, many national and international companies successfully turn significant profits through social network sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, Myspace, Amazon, Sina Weibo, TaoBao and QQ.

The MSc Social Computing programme addresses market demand by providing you with training for understanding, managing, developing, implementing and commercialising interactive social media on the internet. It will train you for advanced technical or managerial roles in new interdisciplinary areas of social informatics and internet computing.

The department is equipped with specialist lab facilities for operating systems, networking, mobile computing and multimedia technology that will support your learning and research.

Graduates of this programme, as with all XJTLU masters degrees, earn a University of Liverpool degree that is recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Careers

Graduates from the MSc Social Computing programme can find employment as research and development engineers, systems developers and project leaders in IT companies. Some students choose to go on to further study as a PhD candidate.
