云上课堂大公开！

你不知道的事……

在疫情防控的特殊时期，香港中文大学（深圳）在云端启动了音乐课堂。香港中文大学（深圳）管弦乐团与国乐团克服排练困难，突破时间和空间限制，即使身在家中，也依旧努力追随着艺术的脚步，在这个非常时期里仍手握乐器，八音迭奏，敲金击石。

In the time of COVID-19 prevention and control, CUHK-Shenzhen launched a series of online music courses. The University Orchestra and University Chinese Orchestra did not slacken the pursuit of excellence though their members have to remain at their individual homes. Going beyond the limitation of time and space, our student musicians managed to carry out rehearsals online. Instrument in hand, each coordinating and enriching the other, our Orchestras sound inspiring music over the “cloud”.

香港中文大学（深圳）管弦乐团，成立于2015年，由校内热爱古典音乐的同学共同组成，他们来自不同学院和专业，却因为音乐结缘。

港中大（深圳）管弦乐团的初衷为致力于推动古典乐在校园的发展，传播经典音乐作品以及现代音乐作品。港中大（深圳）管弦乐团曾于深圳音乐厅、龙岗文化中心及大运水上舞台演出众多国内外经典作品及流行作品，如《Peer Gynt》《蒙古人》《Can you Feel the Love Tonight》《Let it Go》《青青世界》《我喜欢》等。

The Orchestra of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was established in 2015. They are a group of undergraduates and postgraduates from different schools and majors yet gathered by their shared passion for classical music.

The Orchestra was dedicated to the popularization of classical music on campus and the promotion of both classical and modern music. It has performed in multiple concerts held at Shenzhen Concert Hall, Longgang Cultural Center, Shenzhen Universiade Center. Among its repertoire are both Chinese music and foreign music, including “Peer Gynt”, “The Mongolian”, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “ and “Let It Go”.

成千上万次的练习可以给你带来精湛的演奏技巧，但理论知识和背景知识的学习，才能让你的音乐听上去更为从容。这也就是为什么，AI技术永远不能代替艺术。因为它们只能演奏音符，但不能诉说故事。

While superb performing skills can be derived from practice of a thousand times, a solid understanding of music theories makes one a more informed musician, thus greater control over his or her music. This explains why AI can never replace artistic expression. However dexterously AI can deliver the notes, the stories behind will always be lacking.

香港中文大学（深圳）国乐团成立于2018年8月，现有古筝、琵琶、竹笛、民族打击乐等多个乐种。在长期的艺术实践中，国乐团立足于传播中国音乐魅力，积极探索，普及专业知识，同时排演优秀中国音乐曲目，提高有国乐爱好者的演奏水平，开拓音乐视野，让国乐之花在校园绽放。

The Chinese Orchestra of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was established in August 2018. Its members play a variety of musical instruments such as Zheng, Pipa, Bamboo Flute, and ethnic percussions. In practice, the Chinese Orchestra aims to demonstrate and explore the charm of Chinese music, as well as popularize specialized knowledge. Meanwhile, it will rehearse and performwell-selected Chinese music pieces to help those interested in Chinese music improve their skills and broaden their horizon, making the culture of Chinese music come to fruition on campus.

本课程旨在增强学生关于中国民乐的基础知识：

1. 通过讲解学习了解中国民族乐团的历史与发展状况、乐团坐次、指挥的角色介绍等；

2. 通过观摩视听了解乐团各乐器单一音色、组合音色、和声等；

3. 通过经典案例与音频视频赏析了解名团、名作等；

4. 通过线上教学增强乐理等知识；

5. 通过线上分享、指导团员学习重奏曲目。

This course aims to deepenstudents'basic knowledge ofChinese Orchestra:

1. The history and development of the Chinese orchestra, seating, the role of the conductor and so on through lectures and explanations.

2. The single tone, combined tone, and harmony by watching and listening.

Behind the beautiful auditory feast for the audience is the leadership of the conductor and the cooperation between each performer. 2. 有良好的时间管理能力

3. 能配合每星期两次的排练（排练时间：每周二周五20:00-22:00）

4. 学习掌握管弦乐器三年以上（个别稀缺乐器可适当放宽要求）

5. 有参加过乐团经验者优先（个别稀缺乐器可适当放宽要求）

2. Have excellent time management skills

3. Able to attend the rehearsals which are held from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.every Tuesday and Friday

4. Have been learning or have a command of an orchestral instrument for over three years (requirements for instruments with scarce performers can be relaxed)

5. Those with orchestral experiences will be given priority (requirements for instruments with scarce performers can be relaxed)
