Useful information for new international students

Coming to live in a new country requires courage, so well done for getting this far! To help you settle in during your first few days we’ve put together the following useful information.

On-campus facilities:

For help, advice and support, don't hesitate to go to ISRS (International Student Recruitment and Service). You can also call them.

Library

XJTLU students have access to a wide range of library resources, so go and check out what the library has to offer.

Student Enterprise Park

At our enterprise park you can try starting your own business or simply enjoy the shops located there including the University bookstore.

Around-campus:

Banks and ATM

ICBC/Bank of China

To the east of Foundation Building, round the corner from Zemo café (which does good western-style food and drinks).

Commercial Centres

Hanlin Neighbourhood Centre

To the east of the campus at the end of Renai Road, this area has McDonalds, Bank of China ATM, a supermarket and restaurant. Check out Victor’s, which not only sells a range of international food products but also has a bakery and restaurant.

Wenxing Plaza

The closest area of restaurants and student dormitories to campus, located on Renai Road. There’s a KFC as well as large canteens. Wencui and Wenhui Plazas further away from campus also have shops, restaurants and student dormitories (including the international student dorms).

For residential registration and other visa-related issues (although ISRS should be your first stop). Located next to the last stop of the Fastline Bus #2.
