全球化背景下，传媒翻译已成为当今翻译领域的一个重要发展趋势。但限于当前翻译培养模式的制约，国内的翻译硕士专业化水平远远不能满足市场的需求。西浦英语系设立这一硕士专业，开创了融合翻译和传播传媒为一体的高端专业人才培养模式，极具前瞻性，我对它的发展充满信心。

专业概述

大众传媒翻译硕士专业，是国内首个专业领域翻译硕士项目，开创了国内翻译硕士培养的新模式。新专业于今年9月正式授课，全日制专业学制为18个月，授予英国利物浦大学硕士学位。

该专业不仅面向英语和翻译专业本科毕业生招生，对传媒翻译感兴趣的其他专业毕业生、传媒领域的职业译者、有意提高传媒翻译技巧的人士均可申请。

该专业学生将通过一系列必修和选修课程，锤炼媒体翻译技巧、熟悉媒体翻译文化和过程，并在实习中不断夯实技巧，还可以通过主修课程以外的学习活动，结合自身的实际情况，学习传媒领域的基础知识，习得必要的双语媒体写作技巧。

目前，传媒翻译硕士专业不仅吸引了英语、翻译、新闻、传媒及其他专业的应届毕业生申请就读，相关领域的专业人士，特别是与海外市场深度合作公司的对本专业也充满期待。

奖学金

申请要求

学业要求

• 英国：二级甲等荣誉学位或以上

• 中国：本1类大学：75%或以上；本2类大学：80%或以上

• 北美：GPA成绩3.0（总分4）或者本科最后2年的GPA成绩为3.2

• 其他地区：同等学力

专业背景

通常情况下，要求申请者的第一学位专业为翻译、英语（母语为中文）或中文（母语为英语）。第一学位为其它专业的申请者依据个人具体情况酌情考虑。

英语水平要求

非英语母语学生及本科非英语教学的学生需提供英语能力证明。本专业要求语言能力达到：

• 雅思：7.0及以上 (且各项成绩均不低于6.5)

• 托福iBT：100

• 申请者后续可能需要参加面试或笔试以证明其英语水平。

备注：

• 在特殊情况下，我们将根据申请者具体情况个别考虑。申请者可能需要通过面试或测试以证明自身英语能力。

• 低于雅思成绩要求0.5-1.0分以内（或在其他语言测试中有类似情况）的申请者，可在顺利完成我校4或6周英语预科学习后录取入校。

• 申请者也可申请参加西交利物浦英语测试，以替代相应的雅思/托福测试。根据考试得分，申请者可获直接录取，或在顺利完成我校4或6周英语预科学习后录取入校。

• 此外，作为西交利物浦大学附加学习活动要求的一部分，学生可能需完成英语课程，成绩分为“通过”或“不通过”。

中文水平要求

非中文母语的申请者须达到如下中文水平：

• 汉语水平考试（HSK）和华语文能力测试（TOCFL）5级及以上。

• 申请者后续可能需要参加面试或笔试以证明其中文水平。

The MA Mass Media Translation programme is designed to cater to the needs of both practitioners and those aspiring to pursue research in translation studies.

The theoretical modules are intended to lay a stepping stone for those who wish to conduct further research in translation studies, or who are committed to a career in the discipline, whilst the practical modules aim to help students strengthen their skills in critical thinking, develop their bilingual and bicultural sensibilities and improve their translation, linguistics, and bilingual media communication skills.
